Fugue (who takes? who gives?) is part of a larger project: ‘Fugue’ – in which I transpose a ‘musical form’ into a visual one – with actions and ‘performances’ stating, restating, and / or mirroring the original gesture. In juxtaposing the human body with other life forms – I’m curious about the encounter and the gradual development of empathy – through interdependency and a shared urgency. “We are one, after all, you and I, together we suffer, together exist and forever will recreate one another.” Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
